    We manage every trade, timeline, and detail as a single point of contact — permits, scheduling, and the dozen decisions a renovation asks of you each week. You get clean communication, a schedule that holds, and a finished space built to a standard you can see.

    Flooring

    Floors are where our reputation lives. We install, sand, stain, and seal hardwood — from intricate herringbone and basket-weave parquet to clean wide plank — with a finish so flat it catches the light. Restoration of original floors a specialty.

    Custom Millwork

    From shop drawing to final install, one team designs and mills your cabinetry, built-ins, vanities, and wall paneling. Fitted to the room, finished by hand, and made to look as though the house was always meant to have it.

    Paint & Finishes

    Walls, trim, and ceilings prepped with a painter’s patience — surfaces sanded, caulked, and cut in by hand. The result is coverage without a lap mark and edges sharp enough to run a straightedge against.

    Plaster & Drywall

    Hung, taped, floated, and sanded until light falls across the wall without catching a single seam. Skim-coat plaster for the old apartments that deserve it; clean drywall for everything else.

Our name has a story

Named for the two people who taught us how to build.

“Gig” and “Pop” were the names we gave our grandmother and grandfather growing up. The cardinal has always reminded us of them — a quiet symbol of enduring love, hope, and the lasting influence of the people who shape our lives.

Gig & Pop Construction was founded to honor them: two people whose lives proved that a reputation is earned through honesty, hard work, and caring for others. Their example still guides every decision we make.

Whether we are restoring a pre-war apartment in Manhattan or renovating a family home in New Jersey, we approach every project with one purpose — to build something worthy of the name we carry.
